Timberland Regional Library
The Timberland Regional Library (TRL) serves Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific and Thurston Counties in Southwest Washington. TRL is funded by property taxes and revenue from timber sales in those five counties. Timberland has been know to proactively introduce electronic services that provide their patrons with the best library service possible.
After you download the Library Now App from your app store, you will be shown a Main Menu with a listing of all participating libraries. In order to access the Timberland Regional Library, either select the library from the list or type ti re li into the search bar.
With the Timberland Regional Library App you have access to search their SirsiDynix iBistro catalog with Boopsie’s Smart Prefix™ Search–simply begin typing the first few letters of the title or author you’re looking for and see the results narrow down. For instance, if you’re looking for books about Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, simply type “ja ke on”. eBook readers will love having access to Timberland’s OverDrive holdings to quickly download free eBooks to their smartphone or tablet. Social Media fans have one-tap access to TRL’s Facebook, Twitter and Flickr accounts. They even have several resources to help you with your homework, right from your phone, including A to Z Maps Online, Mango and ProQuest. Keep up to date with the fun events TRL hosts with their Events feeds or easily contact your library by phone or email, right from the app. Need to ask a librarian a question? Kitsap Regional Library
The Kitsap Regional Library (KRL) serves Kitsap County’s 254,000 residents with 9 community library locations, online access to materials, a bookmobile and outreach services.
In order to open the Kitsap Regional Library App once you’ve launched the Timberland Library on your Library Now App, you have to scroll to the bottom of the Main Menu and select Choose a Different Library. You’ll be taken back to the complete listing of libraries that are available on the Library Now App.
In the Kitsap Library App, you can easily search the library’s Polaris Library Systems catalog and place items on hold while you’re on the go. Looking for eContent like eBooks, eAudioBooks and eMagazines? Be sure to check out Kitsap’s OverDrive and Zinio holdings! Their Resources tab hosts databases like Biography in Context, Literature Resource Guide and NoveList. You can easily keep up to date with Kitsap Regional Library’s social media accounts on Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest and their blog, “Speaking Volumes” straight from the app as well. If you’re on the go and find a book you want to read, you can easily determine if KRL has a copy by using BookLook Mobile™–simply use your phone’s camera to take a picture of the book’s bar code and the app will perform a book search; if the library already has a copy, you can quickly request to put the item on hold or if you can’t find the book in their collection you can even suggest a purchase, right from the app!
North Central Regional Library
The North Central Regional Library (NCRL) serves a population of approximately 250,000 in the counties of Chelan, Douglas, Ferry, Grant, and Okanogan. NCRL is dedicated to promoting reading and lifelong learning.
Through the Library Now App, North Central Regional Library provides their patrons with mobile access to their Koha catalog and library account with their North Central Regional Library App. You can download free eBooks and eAudioBooks via NCRL’s OverDrive holdings. With one-tap you can access North Central Regional Library’s Facebook and Twitter accounts. You can even email or call NCRL, right from the app. There’s an easy to use QR code reader in the app, so when you see something like the following, you can quickly scan the code.
